MEETINGS & FIELD TRIPS
Field Workshop: Saturday, August 26 Dr. Carl Tomoff, Professor of Environmental Studies at Prescott College, will lead a hands-on woody plant identification workshop and walk at Granite Basin Lake. Meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Playa Day Use Area near the rest room facilities on the south side of the lake. The program will end mid to late morning. Prescott National Forest parking fee is $2.00.
Walk: Saturday, September 9 Nichole Trushell, Executive Director, Highlands Center for Natural History. Summer monsoons bring a diversity of both flowers and insects to the Southwest. Discover butterflies and the plants they use at the Center's Lynx Creek Site, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.

Walk: Wednesday, October 11 David Moll, Nurseryman , will lead a stroll at Granite Basin Lake to find late-blooming wildflowers and fruiting woody plants in a beautiful setting. Meet at the Playa Day Use area near the rest room facilities on the south side of the lake at 8:30 a.m.

Grow Native! Virtual Plant Sale The success of the Highlands Center 's first Grow Native! "real" plant sale in May prompted us to establish a new fall sale. This is a GREAT time to plant, allowing establishment over the winter months. And we are exploring an innovative concept this time -- a Virtual Plant Sale!

3) How do I know what to buy? You will find a listing of plants for sale when you click.
4) How do I know my garden is the right home for the plant? You can access pictures and info on any plant listed through links to our grower
5) How do I pay? Select your order, and pay online
6) When and where will my new plants arrive? On September 27 th , pick up your order at our Lynx Creek Site, 1375 S. Walker Rd., north of Lynx Lake . See! Fun, easy, and a great way to support your love of nature and the Highlands Center ! For more details, visit our website on the 21st of August.
